Robotopia is every robot's dream, the land of oils and gears, but unfortunately most robots will never see even the smallest screw in the city. There is only one opportunity in a robot's lifetime for them to earn the right to enter the city filled with only the most powerful robots which is granted at the annual coming of age competition. Among the hundreds of BetaBotz that come to compete from all over the land when they are of age, only one will be recognized as the new resident of Robotopia. Scattered throughout the competition grounds are opportunities to upgrade yourself with parts that can't be found anywhere else along with powers to render your rivals powerless, but you must act and choose wisely before your opponents outsmart you. Display the fruits of your training as you compete against fellow robots in a battle of wisdom and strength to determine the ultimate winner worthy of entering Robotopia. Are you good enough to be crowned victor and join a community of elite robots? Or will you be sent home unable to make your dream a reality? There's only one way to find out.
The object of BetaBotz is to have the most Bitz (currency) after the completion of 10 rounds. Bitz are used to win the game as well as to bid for component upgrades, so spending wisely is important to your ultimate victory.
ROBOTS
At the beginning of the game, players are given Bitz that are then used to bid on their Betabotz. Betabotz give the player their base stats and will remain their Betabot throughout the rest of the game.
COMPONENTS AND CODES
After bidding on your Betabot, each player starts with 3 code cards.
At the beginning of each round, players bid on component cards that provide increases to the robot’s base stats. Those players that do not receive a component draw a Code card.

MISSIONS
At the end of each round, the next mission card is flipped face up and all of the Betabotz attempt to complete it. Having equal or higher stats in the required categories is a mission success and the rewards are collected. Players may team up to complete the missions if needed and negotiate on how to split the rewards. During the mission phase, players can use code cards or power cards to help themselves or hinder others.
VICTORY
A total of 10 rounds are played with missions of varying difficulty. At the conclusion of the 10th round, bonuses are given for meeting certain criteria and the player with the most Bitz is crowned the winner.
